The wedding season is here, which means you may get several wedding invites to attend of friends or family members. Time to find that perfect summer wedding guest dress, and I have quite a few ideas to help you along the way. Finding the perfect wedding guest dress can sometimes be a chore. You don’t want it to be too fancy where people may think you are apart of the wedding party and you definitely don’t want to outshine the bride. The tips and dress ideas below will help you avoid those attributes but also let you shine and not get lost in the crowd. A wedding guest dress should be appropriate and somewhat modest (no club dresses, please), but also cute and flirty. When I look for a wedding guest dress, I gather my ideas of a dress from the wedding invitation. What colors are they using in the invite? Where is the wedding located? Will it be formal or casual? From there, I usually decide what color of dress I should start to look for. I like to match a little with the invite, but not too much that I may be considered part of the wedding party. I’ve gone to many weddings where I am wearing a bright, colorful yellow and red dress when everyone else is wearing blush and pastels. Trust me–you will be wishing you wore something else when you look back at the pictures. Also, for a summer wedding you probably don’t want to wear black. Don’t be afraid of wearing a little color.

- Nordstrom–this is usually my first stop for wedding dress hunting. What I like is that you can filter their dress collection by color, then cut, then style. It is so helpful and makes the search easy and seamless.
- Chicwish–this shop carries unique, feminine styles that you just can’t find anywhere. If you are looking for a dress with ruffles and tassels this is your shop. Make sure you order with plenty of time. Sometime their shipping takes longer than usual.
- Asos–this online shop has a large dress selection with a price range for everyone. You can actually search for “wedding guest” dresses and even select tall, petite, full bust, plus or maternity. And they all come in the same style.
