Okay, so I have been wanting to completely redecorate our bedroom since we moved in this house. Our bedroom furniture, well, it’s sad to say, but they are pre-marriage…umm they are actually college-random furniture pieces that I collected. So, Seth gave me the thumbs up to redecorate on a ZERO budget. Well, I should say he did give me a very minimal budget. You see, since we live in an old house all the bedrooms are very small so we don’t want to invest in a nice bedroom set until we are in our dream home (hahaha). So with that said, I’m going to redecorate our bedroom with the intentions of the furniture being our future guest room (that we will have in our dream home too–wink wink).
The first item that I tackled is our nightstands. Remember back in the late ’90s when Mexican pine was really big? Well, those are our nightstands.
So, with the help of my interior designer friend Heidi, I picked out my inspiration room and colors. Then called my sister-in-law Carolyn for guidance in sanding, staining, painting, sanding then staining. Carolyn really knows a lot about refinishing furniture so she was really helpful. So here’s are my new nightstands. Your probably wondering why I choose this color, but I’ve got a color scheme I’m going with so I’m really happy with the results. I wanted a Wisteria-style finishing.
