The weekend before Valentine’s Day, I headed to my hometown of Reno Nevada to hold a jewelry trunk show, which was a huge success and a BIG THANKS to everyone that came out and spread the word and bought some jewels. It was so great seeing some old friends and I wish so much that the night lasted much longer than it did, so I could catch up on every detail of the 10 years I’ve missed in their lives.
Since I was in town alone with no kids, I decided to stay the weekend and spend it with some of my best girlfriends that I’ve known since I was a little toddler. One day we spent a full-day at a spa resort. That’s right–the ENTIRE day at the spa! It was amazing. We went to the Atlantis Spa, which has a full gym, heated pools, light-therapy lounge, laconium relaxation lounge and spa treatments. The papaya facial was one of my favorites. And they had all these flavored water throughout the spa with recipe cards. My favorite was the kiwi cinnamon water. Yum.
The next day we headed up to Donner Lake, which is on the way to California and about 30 mins from Lake Tahoe and 20 mins from Reno. If there was snow we would have gone skiing but the weather has been so dry this winter. There was barely any snow. We stayed at this beautiful, newly built cabin (I’ll post pictures in another post) that was more like a home. And we just hung out, stayed up late, watched chick flicks, caught up on our lives, laughed alot.
This is the mountain town of Truckee, which has some really cute shops!
I love my friends!
