Cape Cod

Posted by darlingdarleenadmin on

For the 4th of July we headed to Cape Cod and enjoyed all that it has to offer–ocean breezes, miles and miles of sandy beaches, the smell of honeysuckle, poison ivy, lighthouses, seals, salt water taffy, wildflowers, salt ponds, charming quaint towns, fresh lobster, biking, homemade ice cream, cape house styles, sand dunes. This year we stayed just south of Provincetown so we could spend as much time on the National Seashore. Can’t go wrong with a vacation at the Cape. We had an awesome time.

Found this seashell on the beach. If you put it up to your ear, you can hear the ocean waves.
Primary transportation mode in the Cape? Bikes.
Heads of the Meadow Beach–one day we went to this beach, walked a mile north and there was a seal colony. Hundreds of seals hanging out on this sand bar. They kept us entertained all day–just watching them. At low tide, they were all tanning on the sand. Quite a sight. Pretty cool.
