If I’m not running out the door in the morning, I like to make an avocado shake for breakfast. When I drink one in the morning it gets me on the right track for eating healthy the rest of the day. I’ve change the recipe around to what I like. You can really put whatever fruit or vegetable in it if you have the basic recipe. Right now I’ve been adding kale to the recipe since I have quite a bit in my garden. Sometimes I’ll add blueberries or apples. Or a handful of almonds. The shake is sweet, not bitter. And very refreshing from the lemons and limes.
Basic Avocado Shake
12 ounces of coconut water or coconut milk watered down to make 12 ounces
Half of an avocado
4 inches of an English cucumber, cut into chunks
Handful of spinach
Juice from one half lemon
Juice from one half lime
1 packet of stevia
Put everything in a blender (like Vitamix or Blendtec) and blend to desired consistency. Enjoy!
